Having been an enthusiastic Mac user for 10 years it's easy to shout from the rooftops that the Mac is more intuitive and easier to use.
But the Mac in recent years has gone through the latest of several changes of hardware and software specification upgrades, with the release of it's new Operating System OS "X" in 2001, and is written on a Unix shell.
OS 10.2 or 'Jaguar' was released in August 2002, and the latest updated version is 10.2.4 (released 02/2003).

Some of the incredible hardware innovations in recent years that we have seen from Apple Computer include:

  • the iPod, which amongst other things plays thousands of MP3 files,
  • the candy colored iMac, the new flat screen iMac,
  • the Titanium PowerBook,
  • and the dual 1.42 Ghz processor G4 tower machines.

The newest faster G4's are used for audio and video production and film editing in many of today's top music and film studios. Addtionally many graphical design firms, magazines and newspapers are totally dependent on the Mac for everyday use.

This website, and some the websites of clients of Dream Circus Media, were originally developed entirely on a Mac G3 266Mhz tower, with 640Mb of ram and a 30Gb hard disk drive, running OS 9.2.2.
